Asset management and product tracking with RFID

Some products are just difficult to permantly mark and identify. Maybe they are made from a difficult material or are just not suited to being marked in some way or barcoded. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) could be the answer to this problem.

If it is possible to imbed a small tag in the product during manufacture, then it is possible to identify that specific item for its whole life. In addition, the date it was manufactured and any other useful information can be recorded using functions provided by SageBarcoder. This makes it possible to trace the product at any time in it life, back to when it was dispatched and who it was dispatched to. It is also prssible to provide reports on manufacturing performance from the data captured in this way.

In the case of tracking assets, once the RFID tag is attached to the item, SageBarcoder will allow you to record the details on purchase or manufacture using the unique ID provided by the RFID tag. The database can then be searched and reported on.
